What will you actually pay under CBAM in 2026?

CBAM certificates are bought at the EU ETS auction average. Pick a sector, enter tonnes — you get your cost in EUR and PLN, plus where you stand against the 50-tonne threshold for authorised declarant status.

The sector set the rate in transitional calculators; under the definitive regime the CN code is what counts.
Net tonnes (for electricity: MWh) of CBAM goods per year.
Latest official price: €75.28/t (Q2 2026, published by the EC on 6 July 2026). No guesswork — current quarterly prices are on the EC page (link at the bottom).
Used only for the PLN conversion. Enter your bank's rate for better accuracy.

Estimate based on approximate sector-level default emission intensities (t CO₂ per tonne). v1 orientation values — for precise numbers you need your supplier's actual emissions or the official default values for your CN code. Actual intensity is usually lower than default, so treat this as an upper bound.

Don't want to overpay on default values?

Your suppliers' actual emissions are usually lower than defaults — but you have to ask them for the data. We're building the tool that does it for you: collects supplier emissions data, tracks the 50-tonne threshold, and keeps your certificate ledger. Get in touch if you want early access.

Where the numbers come from

The Commission publishes certificate prices derived from EU ETS auctions (Regulation (EU) 2023/956 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2548). v1 intensities are sector-level approximations; exact per-CN-code default values are in the EC implementing acts.
